Online reservations should collect complete booking details without forcing a phone call or social message. The guest selects a date, party size and contact details, while the restaurant receives a request it can review and confirm.
The problem it solves
A form must not promise a table when the venue has no availability-confirmation workflow. We define request, confirmation, rejection, rescheduling and policies for late arrivals or larger parties as separate states.

What we define before launch
Before launch we define capacity, visit duration, minimum notice and who confirms each request. Automated messages and deposits require a configured provider, appropriate consent and delivery or payment testing.
